Round8 Website (February 2009)
Online video and photography
As part of leading media recruitment consultant Round8's online rebranding, Horseshoe Boy was commissioned to produce video content to be used on the main company website. As well as producing this (a 4:30 clip overview on the Round8 company ethos and work) photography of key personnel was also undertaken and utilised in the rebranding.

Street Stories - Demon Juice (January 2007 - June 2008)
Documentaries & Filmed Performance

A collaboration between Royal Opera House and East London Dance, Demon Juice was a specially commisioned re-imagining of Don Giovanni by composer and librettist John Browne. The myth of Don Juan was transferred to the streets of modern day East London, and featured a large cast of local performers. Directed by Karen Gillingham, Choreographed by Robert Hylton, Designed by Emma Wee and with collaborations from DJ Billy Biznizz and Spoken Word Artist Sean Graham, Demon Juice was performed at Stratford Circus and Royal Opera House in November 2007 to great acclaim.






Horseshoe Boy has followed the creative process since the beginning of the project and has produced a short (9 min) documentary on the journey of many of the participants (see images above). A further more expansive documentary on the creative process of the project is currently being put together whilst a full filmed performance of the final Royal Opera House production has already been completed.

Gentle Giant (March 2008)
Website Video Resource Creation & Filmed Performance

Composer Stephen McNeff and Librettist Mike Kenny's operatic version of Gentle Giant was peformed at Royal Opera House's Linbury Studio Theatre in March 2008. As part of the ROH marketing for the show Horseshoe Boy produced a number of video clips including interviews with the creative team and rehearsal footage that was combined with other educational resources for the web site developed for the show. An archival filmed performance of the production was also completed. Work can be seen here.

The comedy short Colin Sprockett: Numbers Man was shot on DVCam over the course of a day. This ‘documentary’ follows Colin (Ben Bishop) as he prepares for the upcoming UK National Sudoku championships. Colin... was screened at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner 2006.

John Smiths No Nonsense Bitter – Golf (July 2004)
Test Commercial
Steve, an all Australian man, shows us the less conventional and no-nonsense form of Golf.

This 30 sec commercial, shot on 16mm Film, went on to win 2nd Prize at the cfpe/Shots Young Director of the Year Awards (Film School Non-Europe category) in Cannes, 2005.
